So I’ve been working remotely for a bit over a year now, and my back is starting to let me know it’s not happy. I’ve seen standing desks mentioned all over the place, but I’m hesitant to drop a few hundred bucks without knowing if it’ll actually make a difference. I don’t mind sitting, but after 8+ hours it gets rough. Has anyone here made the switch? Was it actually worth the money in your case?

Funny how your body starts throwing signals after months of doing the same thing every day. I didn’t notice how tense I’d gotten until my weekend hikes started feeling easier than sitting at my desk. It’s like your body just wants variety. I haven’t changed my setup yet, but I’ve been rethinking a few things, especially with how much time I spend glued to my screen.
I felt the same way before I got mine last fall. Sitting all day was killing my posture, and I didn't realize how stiff my shoulders were until I started changing positions more often. I went with an automated standing desk https://www.progressivedesk.ca/collections/standing-desk so I could switch heights with a button press, which honestly made a bigger difference than I expected. I don’t stand all day, but just having the option to mix things up has helped a ton.
