So I finally gave in and got a standing desk a couple of months ago after dealing with lower back pain that wouldn’t quit. I figured it might help with posture or at least keep me from sitting like a pretzel all day. But what surprised me most was how it affected my focus — I’m way less foggy during afternoon slumps now. Has anyone else noticed changes beyond just the physical stuff?

Totally get what you mean. I made the switch during the whole work-from-home chaos, and I thought it would just be a back-saver too. But man, I didn’t expect how much more energized I’d feel by just switching positions a few times a day. I used one of the frames fand standing desk base https://www.progressivedesk.com/collections/desk-frames and added my own top — super easy setup, and now I actually look forward to work. Didn't think that would ever happen.
